The Scrap is sorted based on its composition and Grades of Steel. After that Scrap is cleaned to remove impurities like Dirt, Oil, and Non-Metallic materials. Larger pieces of scrap are shredded or sheared into smaller sizes to ensure uniform melting and efficient furnace operation. Prepared scrap is loaded into the Electric Furnace. High- Temperature is maintained for melting process. The Temperature is carefully monitored and controlled to achieve the desired steel properties. Alloying Elements like Nickel, Chromium or Manganese etc. May be added to achieve specific Steel Grades. After that molten steel is converted into Billets/ Ingots. Both Billets/ Ingots undergo rolling processes to achieve the desired shape and thickness. The finished Steel Products are inspected for defects and compliance with quality standards or as per customer requirement.
